2025-26
Visits, school activities and educational projects:
ACVIC CENTRE D’ARTS CONTEMPORÀNIES is a public cultural facility for the promotion of creativity, investigation, production, and dissemination of contemporary artistic projects. ACVIC follows a course of action based upon the relationship between educational activities, Vic’s unique geography, and social interaction.
Contemporary art used in education fosters production spaces which are open to experimentation, encouraging empathy and participants’ critical views. Acvic promotes individual and collective reflection, understanding artistic practice as an instrument which impacts upon, interacts with, and transforms social space.
Our activities and projects:
Guided visits, activities and projects for schools are free. Places must be booked in advance contacting ACVIC.
GUIDED VISITS TO EXHIBITIONS
ACVIC offers a service of guided visits with the aim of bringing art closer to visiting groups, enriching their cultural background, and encouraging critical thinking among participants. All visits are complemented by an educational activity, which aims to create a ludic experience based upon the exhibitions’ themes.
ACVIC has a regular schedule of exhibitions which changes every quarter. At the beginning of each exhibition, there will be a tour for teachers and other group leaders, so that they can get to know the exhibition contents in advance.
Booking for places on guided visits throughout the school year opens in September.

GROUP WORKSHOPS
Activities based upon contemporary art, using creative experimentation and critical reflection, suitable for nursery, primary, secondary, and special education students. All activities are free for public schools.
1. LIKE A ROCK
On perception, sound, and artistic action.
Introduction:
Starting by observing a rock, participants will transform their perceptions into a drawing, also into a mime, a movement, and finally, into an artistic action.
Duration: 1hr 30 mins
Educational stage: Early childhood education
Group: Classroom group
2. CORRESPONDENCES
The line, the stroke, and the drawing
Introduction:
Participants will explore the creative possibilities of the stroke in drawing. Participants will start by doing small shared exercises to awaken the hand and the eye, ending by making a publication, shared among the whole group, based on the questions and answers which participants have sent to each other.
Duration: 1hr 30 mins
Educational stage: Primary School
Group: Classroom group
3. VIC 2075
Dystopian and utopian futures
Introduction:
How do we imagine our society in 50 years? What do we like? What bothers us? What would we like to change? Participants will discover artistic references which question where the world is heading and will explore the superpowers we all have to transform what we don't like.
Duration: 1hr 30 mins
Educational stage: Secondary School
Group: Classroom group
4. THE RIVER PATH
A sensory journey
Introduction:
In this two-session workshop, participants will take a journey along the river and will interact with it through different sensory activities. In the second session, at ACVIC, participants will work on a map and an artistic installation, creating an immersive room which will allow us to revisit the river path.
Duration: 2 sessions of 1 hour and 30 minutes
Educational stage: Groups with special educational needs
Groups: Maximum 20 people
5. PERSONAL PORTRAIT
Contemporary art for well-being
Participants create a personal portrait using contemporary art techniques. A portrait which defines them at that moment, as opposed to who they truly are, or how they imagine themselves to be. Contemporary art allows us to describe ongoing situations without the need to be well defined, and with the possibility of raising questions and contradictions.
Participants will use a notebook, in which they will sketch out their rough drafts of a path towards self-knowledge, and towards the artistic expression of what they feel. This activity is part of the ACVIC AMB LA SALUT (ACVIC SUPPORTING HEALTH) project.
Duration: 1hr 30 mins
Educational stage: Special and Secondary Education
Group: Small groups, maximum 15 people

GENERATIVE AI AND EDUCATION: CHALLENGES, OPPORTUNITIES AND TEACHING PRACTICE
With Andrea García Méndez
Tuesday 14th, 21st and 28th October 2025
From 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
Online training approved by the Department of Education
Generative artificial intelligence tools are rapidly becoming integrated into all areas of society, including education. They are already being used, formally or informally, by both teachers and students, and everything indicates that their use will continue to grow in the coming years.
Faced with this new scenario, many questions arise:
How can AI affect our teaching practice? How can we take advantage of its potential in a critical and creative way? How can we adapt our activities, evaluation criteria, and roles as educators?
This course offers a space to explore all these questions through action. It is a very practical course, in which each session will be based on exercises which will allow participants to test generative AI tools in the first person and reflect on their uses and implications in real educational contexts.
Information and registration from september 8th 2025.
ART I ESCOLA 15 (ART AND SCHOOL 15). TEACHER TRAINING
